The Dislocations Conference offers a unique forum for experimentalists and modelers to explore the latest advances in the physics and mechanics of crystal dislocations. As novel experimental techniques and modeling tools deepen our understanding of dislocation behavior and interactions, the conference fosters collaboration across academia, national labs, and industry. Organized as a single-session event over four and a half days, Dislocations 2025 maximizes opportunities for discussion and cross-disciplinary exchange.

    All technical sessions will be held in the Lakeside Auditorium on the University of Miami campus. Coffee breaks and buffet-style lunches will be served in the adjacent Lakeside Expo Center, which will also host three evening social events.

Location

The conference will be held at Lakeside Village, a modern event and residential complex on the University of Miami campus, just a short walk from the “University” Metrorail station.

The venue includes the Lakeside Auditorium, Expo Center, and Pavilion, with outdoor seating, cafés, and walkways around Lake Osceola.

All technical talks will take place in the Lakeside Auditorium. The lobby will be used for registration. The Expo Center will host catered lunches, coffee breaks, Lightning Talks, and Poster Sessions.
