The College of Engineering (CoE) offers MS Merit Tuition Waivers to admitted applicants who demonstrated exemplary achievements. These Merit Tuition Waivers offer up to a maximum 30% of direct tuition costs. We do not offer research/teaching assistantships or fellowships for MS studies. Applicants who wish to be considered for a MS Merit Tuition Waiver must indicate so on the application for admission.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must submit:

  • A non-refundable application fee of $85.00 USD.
  • A student copy of your transcripts in English must be submitted for each post-secondary institution (college or university) that you have attended, regardless if it was for a certificate, class, intensive program or a degree. If admitted, you will be required to have each of the institutions you have attended send an Official Transcript in English directly from the institution(s) and proof that you have successfully completed your degree(s) as indicated on your application to our Office of Admission.
  • If you have attended a college or university outside of the United States, your transcripts and diplomas (if available) will need to be evaluated via course-by-course foreign credential evaluation. Please click here for further instructions.
  • Three (3) comprehensive letters of recommendation.
  • A 500-word typed statement of academic and professional goals.
  • CV or Resume.

Additional documents for international students only

  • TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo scores (if applicable) sent directly from the testing agency. Test scores are NOT considered as official if provided by, or received via the applicant.
  • Other visa requirements will be due if accepted into the program.

A BS degree in engineering is usually required for admission into an MS program. We will also consider students who do not have an engineering degree but may ask them to take pre-requisite coursework to meet our admission requirements.

Note:

  • A BS degree in engineering and other STEM disciplines is preferred for admission into a graduate degree. Students with other types of degrees may be considered.
  • GRE is NOT required.
